 Atradius makes the World Finance 100 list

The editorial board at World Finance has taken the opportunity to explore new thresholds, new markets and firms which have arisen as a result of changing circumstances, and those that have fought and manipulated their business plan into a structure that has allowed them to become leaders in their respective fields. It is from this analysis of different structures, and through reader recommendations that the World Finance board decided to construct the World Finance 100, a list of the very finest businesses and business leaders over the past year.

They have included who they and the World Finance readership agree to be industry heads and leaders whose innovation and control of market practices have been of particular value this year. Many of them have seen their market share increase, or seen their potential to lean into larger markets take seed. Some may be recognisable from past achievements, while their different virtues have furthered their purpose and shown a clear sophistication and character. Others might be considered newcomers, fresh faces who have discovered a real purpose and determination over the last twelve months.

Last year many figures and companies were demonised for their part in the different failings of industry which in turn brought down other markets. These figures have been criticised throughout the media, and no doubt we have learned from their heavy-handed and salubrious decisions. However, World Finance has decided that once a year they will celebrate those that have done things well. In 2009, this of course includes those who have enforced themselves in global commerce to alleviate much of the stress markets have had to endure. They have also included those who have spearheaded the way to a swift recovery with bold and fervent decisions. These come in the form of individuals who are in the process of delivering their firms from flailing industries; those who are aiding their respective industries with excellent decision-making capabilities; and those firms who are leading the way to a more prosperous future within their specific sectors.
