What qualities do you look for in applicants?

We want people who are ambitious for themselves and who will be ambitious for Atradius. Where specific technical skills or qualifications are required we will need to confirm that a satisfactory standard is achieved, but the personal qualities of our applicants are equally important to us.

How do you select your people?

The initial selection is based on the written application. Applicants successful at this stage will be invited to attend an interview and/or to participate in an assessment day. The content of the interview / assessment will vary depending on the nature of the role, but may include a case study activity or delivery of a presentation on a risk related topic. The interview/ assessment will be conducted by a team comprising a HR professional and trained managers from the business area to which you are applying.

How long does it take to let me know if my application has been successful?

We aim to reply to you in writing within seven working days of your interview. 

What opportunities are there to work and travel abroad?

As you would expect of a global company, overseas travel is an integral part of many positions. Career opportunities at other locations are advertised internally to employees and a limited number of international assignments are available in certain areas of the business for those wishing to spend a little longer overseas.

How useful are language skills?

Language skills are always an asset, particularly in areas involving direct contact with our customers.

How would my performance be appraised?

Your progress will be monitored both informally and formally in discussions with your manager, and through performance appraisals. Formal appraisals provide an opportunity for you to set clear goals for the period ahead and identify the skills and support you will need to achieve them. All employees are encouraged to agree to a Competency Development Plan. 

How can I grow my salary?

Our salaries are reviewed annually. Employees are rewarded against performance, so the better the performance the better the reward. There is opportunity to increase base salary through a consolidated increase based on performance and also to achieve a bonus based on in year achievements. The bonus % opportunity varies according to the role.

Will I be eligible to join the pension scheme?

Yes all employees may participate in the Company scheme, where available / applicable.

Is there a private medical scheme?

Yes employees may elect to participate in a subsidised health package, subject to meeting the qualifying criteria set out by the provider, where available / applicable.
